BORROW A TEXTBOOK PROGRAM

Need to access course material, but not sure if you want to pay the full price of a textbook?? LCSA and the Lethbridge College Buchanan Library have you covered with the Borrow a Textbook program. The Borrow a Textbook program is an initiative geared to help reduce students' cost on campus.

Throughout the year, textbooks may be added to the library's Reserves collection by library purchase, on temporary loan or by donation from an instructor or program, and by students who choose to donate their textbooks to the Borrow a Textbook program when they no longer need them.

Current LC students may borrow one textbook at a time, for 2 hours, library use only, by presenting their student ID card (which is also their library card) to staff at the library service desk.

Students will need to know the course code for the textbook they want to borrow as well as the book title as some courses have multiple textbooks.

There is no limit to the number of times a student can access the same textbook throughout the semester.

Overdue fines are applied to late returns on textbooks because keeping the book past due impacts other students who also need access to the textbook.
