Eligible students both on campus and online enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits at the start of their programs are assessed the $20.00 Law Fee for 12 months of legal coverage – more information on the mylegalplan available on the www.mystudentplan.ca/lethbridge website.

MyLegalPlan Opt Out Form

Students can opt-out of mylegalplan based on personal choice, once you opt-out you will not be able to re-enroll in the program until the anniversary of when you started your program, and you remain eligible. The mylegalplan opt-out is an annual opt-out. You will be re-enrolled next year on your enrolment anniversary and if you wish to opt-out again you will need to complete this Form prior to the applicable deadline.

The student is given one (1) opportunity to opt-out of mylegalplan each year at the start of their academic year. All myegalplan opt-out forms must be completed online and received by the applicable deadline and the deadline coincides with the Lethbridge College Extended Drop Deadline each term.

NO EXCEPTIONS will be made if the deadline is missed. It is the student's responsibility to pay the plan fees, should they miss the applicable opt-out deadline.

Approval of the Students opt-out will result in the mylegalplan fee being credited/or refunded according to the school's policy which is 2 to 3 weeks following the Extended Drop Deadline.

The mylegalplan is accessed through the www.mystudentplan.ca/lethbridge website and the Opt-Out form for the mylegalplan is found on the homepage under the mylegalplan – Opt-Out of the plan.

Please keep your confirmation email of your Opt-Out as proof should the opt-out request not be received by the benefit plan office.
